Privacy Policy

Web users are concerned about what information is being collected, how it is being collected and how it is being used. Drug Free Pennsylvania’s Internet Privacy Policy is provided to fully disclose the data collection practices that apply to visitors of the Drug Free Pennsylvania web site.

Information Collection and Use

Drug Free Pennsylvania gathers information about web site visitors to improve the caliber of online information and services offered. Two forms of data are collected: site visitorship data and personal information voluntarily provided by site visitors.

Site Visitorship Data

Drug Free Pennsylvania routinely gathers data on web site activity, such as how many people visit the site, the pages they visit, where they come from, how long they stay, etc. To provide visitors with the best online experience, non-identifiable visitor data is collected in aggregate form. Also, to

maximize the utility of the tools in computers connecting to the site (like audio capabilities), information about visitors’ computer settings may also be compiled. In both situations, information is collected only on an aggregate, anonymous basis. No information on any visitor is singled out. The

information compiled is used for internal purposes only. It is not disclosed or transferred to any third party for any purpose, except by compulsion of law.

Personal Information

Drug Free Pennsylvania collects personal information from site visitors, such as a visitor’s name, address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, etc., only when the site visitor voluntarily provides it. (For minors, see section below). Generally, we request this information only in limited

circumstances, such as responding to inquiries. It is not a condition to visiting the site. The compiled information is used for internal purposes only and is not disclosed or transferred to any third party for any purpose, except by compulsion of law.

Nondisclosure of Personal Information

Drug Free Pennsylvania will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any site visitors identifiable information derived from the registration for or use of any Drug Free Pennsylvania online services, including names and addresses, without the consent of the site visitor, except as required by

subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the site visitor or others.

Parental Permission for Minors

Drug Free Pennsylvania recognizes that children, including young teens, may not be able to make informed choices about personal information requested online. Accordingly, Drug Free Pennsylvania strongly recommends that visitors of minor age obtain parental permission before supplying personal information

where requested on this site. Finally, Drug Free Pennsylvania encourages parents to protect the privacy and security of their children and to prevent the inappropriate use of information about their children. Drug Free Pennsylvania supports developing technologies that help parents control the collection

and use of personal information from children who use online services in their households.
